TESTIMONIALS

"I have had an interest in martial arts since I was 4 years old.  I love watching martial arts movies & looking at martial arts Youtube videos. I started Tae Kwon-Do because I love kicking techniques & of all the martial arts Tae Kwon-Do develops the best kicking skills. I had done a few years of Karate before I started Tae Kwon-Do & even though I enjoyed both styles I wanted to do a martial art that could develop my kicking skills & I heard there was a great club near where I lived.

Tae Kwon-Do is non stop fun in every class. You are continually moving & burning up energy doing fun stuff. I love kicking bags & sparring with my friends in the class. Master Jay & the other Black Belts are really great instructors & they teach us great techniques to defend ourselves in real life situations."

I have learnt a lot of physical things like how to keep fit , flexible & how to defend myself. This has given me a lot of confidence in all areas of my life. But the most important things I have learnt is to be respectful, to only use our martial arts skills to defend yourself & to always be humble."

"I started Tae Kwon-Do when I was four years old . The reason I started was because I saw my brother Stefano doing it & it just looked like lots of fun. So I asked dad if I could do it & he said yes & the first couple of days I started I just loved it. I like Tae Kwon-Do because it's just really fun & it's just the best! I've learnt self-defense, how to attack not just dive in . Block & then attack, always blocking face & chest - that's what I've learnt."

"I was in pre-kindergarten & was suffering from bullies at school. At age 4, I started Tae Kwon-Do and at the age of 9 years & 4 days, I became Australia's youngest Black Belt. Master Jay is very kind to all us children & teaches us how to protect ourselves. No one bullies me now as I now have my 2nd Dan Black Belt."

"I started Tae Kwon-Do as I believe its advantageous to know such an enjoyable form of martial arts. I started Tae Kwon-Do in Singapore when I was about 7-8 and when I moved to Australia, I didn't want to forget all the techniques I had learnt. I like the friendships I made, the amount of self defense moves I learnt and the flexibility and strength I improved along the way. I learnt both basic and advanced defense moves such as getting out of specific holds. I also learnt the correct techniques to punch, kick and block."

"I started Tae Kwon-Do with Master Jay in 2009. A school friend gave me the idea of practicing a martial art. As a boy I was interested with the idea of fighting with discipline. At this stage I didn't know much about Tae Kwon-Do so it was more a matter of discovery than conviction.

It gives me confidence & teaches me respect and discipline. Master Jay is also very nice. He gives me inspiration & I look up to him. I also have a nice group of friends at Tae Kwon-Do. I am part of this group ranging from a primary school students through to adult students. We all train together, everyone gets on well & no one feels left out. I have learned how to wisely utilise my force. I have also learnt discipline. I have been taught how I may respond to an attack & feel confident enough with my strength that I don't have to fight for no reason."

"I took my daughter to Tae Kwon-Do 10 years ago due to bullying at pre-school. I was an amateur boxer in my younger years & I needed a fitness program as well. I have lost all the weight I wanted to lose & I love the fact that Master Jay is a 9th Dan (there are no 10th Dan at the moment) & he is able to work with children & adults. I am now a 3rd Dan Black Belt."
